About
The Tall Edit is a fit-first shopping index for women 5’8″ and over. The premise is simple: for tall women, fit is not a detail of the purchase, it is the entire purchase. A dress that is beautiful and three inches too short is not a good dress.
Fit first, then everything else
So we lead with measurements. Inseams, rise, sleeve length, torso length, hem drop, and whether a brand’s “tall” range is a genuine regrade or the standard block with extra fabric at the bottom. Style comes after that, because style is easy once the garment actually fits.
Verdicts, not vagueness
Our guides end in a stated verdict — worth it, worth it with caveats, or not for this height. Hedging is not much use to somebody deciding whether to order. Where a brand runs short despite marketing itself as tall-friendly, we say so, and where an ordinary range happens to work on a long torso, we say that too.
We cover workwear, denim, dresses, activewear and capsule wardrobe building, across a spread of budgets. Sizing information is checked against brand size charts and updated when those charts change. Some links earn a commission; see our Affiliate Disclosure.
